Energy Systems & Services is committed to delivering to clients specialised services, intelligent solutions and logical approaches to effectively assist in the areas of building compliance and services reliability as well as support the rational use of energy across their portfolios.
We are unbiased in the selection of components and systems adding flexibility and ensure a design, program, procedure or system is ‘fit for purpose’ while also cost effective, with minimal disruption to the facility’s operations.
OUR STORY
Energy Systems & Services (ESS) evolved from Commercial Energy Services.
Founded by Lincoln Young, Steven Handley & Edward Malouf in 2000.
Embracing legislative changes we developed systems & services to provide private metering systems & reporting tools to support commercial building owners, operators, consultants and electrical contractors for the Australian Building Greenhouse Rating (ABGR), a rating now known as NABERS Energy, which started in 1998.
Follow on legislation that supported the business strategy includes but is not limited to:
The Energy Efficiency Opportunities Act 2006. (ceased)
The National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) Scheme 2007.
The Building Energy Efficiency Disclosure Act 2010. (Commercial Building Energy Efficiency Certificates).
The business grew rapidly from only Energy Management Systems to Power Quality, Compliance Auditing, Electrical System Testing & Electrical Asset Maintenance and commercial electrical projects, being on the BRW on Fast 100 Companies, winning a Green Globe Award and industry awards such as the National Electrical & Communications Association Awards for Large Commercial Projects, both Nationally and NSW.
This evolution coupled with technical excellence and project delivery has earned ESS an excellent reputation for quality amongst a varied range of clients from commercial buildings, hospitals, data centres, Telecommunications Operation Centre shopping centres, banks and specialty facilities such as The Sydney Opera House, State Library of NSW, The Art Gallery of NSW, The National Gallery of Australia, The Australian War Memorial and complex high profile Precincts such as Barangaroo in Sydney that includes residential towers, commercial space, retail and restaurants.
In 2012 Commercial Energy Services rebranded as Energy Systems & Services with Lincoln Young continuing as CEO.
